On behalf of our friends at Sacramento Helvetia Verein, we would like to extend an invitation for you to attend the 2018 Swiss National Day Celebration at Sutter’s Fort!

Many of Sacramento’s earliest pioneering families were of Swiss ancestry. John Sutter himself was a Swiss immigrant to California and named his trading post New Helvetia in honor of his home country (Helvetia being the Latin abbreviation for Switzerland).

We are honored to receive a special visit from Swiss Consul General Urs Wuest and his spouse, Mrs. Marieluise Becker, who have a special greeting to share. The registration deadline to attend this celebration is Friday, July 20th, and payment is required in advance.
