Hands on History: Frontier Farm to Fork

This engaging Hands on History event encourages visitors to discover the true gold of California – agriculture!

In 1840s California, people lived farm to fork. They ate food grown, harvested, raised, hunted, and processed where they lived.

This month, Friends of Sutter’s Fort and California State Parks are proud to present an exciting Hands on History: Frontier Farm to Fork. During this exciting event, you will have the opportunity to explore the agriculture history of California and Sutter’s Fort, and reconnect with the origins of the different foods that you eat.

Black Powder Demonstrations at 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, and 3:00 PM

Admission cost is $7.00 adults, $5.00 for youth, and children (5 & under) are free. Purchase your ticket at the gate! Friends of Sutter’s Fort members receive discounted admission. Not a member? Join today!
