Friends of Sutter’s Fort is Now Seeking Vendors for our Made by Friends Artisan Market at Sutter’s Fort State Historic Park

Spring/Summer Date: To be announced

Fall Date: Saturday November 4, 2023 10AM to 3PM

Join Friends of Sutter’s Fort for our first open air artisan market in the public park grounds at Sutter’s Fort State Historic Park. This market will feature handcrafted, locally designed and produced products, food and artwork. While shopping our guests can also learn more about local nonprofits, museums and parks.

Vendor FAQ’s

What type of vendors can participate in this event?

Made by Friends Artisan Market is a hand-made, locally designed or repurposed marketplace. We want most items sold at the market to be designed, created and produced by the vendor. You are eligible to apply as a vendor if less than 25% of your products are manufactured.

The vendor must be the sole owner and have all applicable license/permits to sell your products in Sacramento, CA. All vendors shall provide with their application current copies of all applicable permits and licenses that are required in connection with the sale of their products.

We do not accept third-party vendors or independent contractors. We do not accept weight loss products, cannabis products, alcohol, or any other product containing fur or other materials prohibited in the State of California.

How do I apply to be a vendor for this event?

Please complete the initial application online. We will review all vendor applications and contact you for additional information. Once approved, you will receive an invoice for your vendor fee of $85. This fee includes event permitting and venue rental, marketing material, press coverage, administrative, and garbage and disposal fees.

Is there an application fee?

For our inaugural Made by Friends Market, we are waiving vendor application fees. Future markets will require an application fee to cover the costs of reviewing your applications.

May I share a booth?

Yes, vendors may share a booth with another vendor. However both entities must apply to be vendors.

What are vendors required to supply?

All vendors are required to provide their own supplies for their booth including tents (and tent weights) tables and chair, wifi, and point of sale processing systems. Please note there is NO onsite parking. Parking can be located at parking meters or at any of the area parking garages. Loading and unloading will be permitted in designated areas only.
