Our inaugural Sunset & Strings on Thursday, September 19 was a night to remember, as the New World String Project delighted attendees with an eclectic array of music featuring instruments such as the cittern, nyckelharpa, fiddle. and harp.

It was truly a delight to experience this level of musical talent under the night sky with the backdrop of the Central Building – Sacramento’s oldest structure.

We hope that this is the first of many musical events to take place at Sutter’s Fort State Historic Park (SHP)!

Would you like to help bring more events like this to Sutter’s Fort? Support our End of Year Giving Campaign!

We’ve set a goal to raise $2,500 between now and December 31, 2019. Contributing to this vital end of the year fundraising goal is a great way to support our ongoing efforts at Sutter’s Fort SHP. Make a donation today!

A special thanks to our co-host, Sacramento Pioneer Association, and to our generous event sponsors, Visit Sacramento, Sutter District, Golden Pacific Bank, Native Sons of the Golden West, and New Helvetia Brewing Company, who helped bring this first concert to life.
