As we shared at the end of last year, a beautiful exterior lighting enhancement was completed in conjunction with Midtown Parks, SMUD and Hume Development to increase public usability and increase overall safety during the evening hours.
In anticipation of the exterior wall lighting project, the condition of the top of the exterior walls at Sutter’s Fort SHP was evaluated and the adobe was found to be deteriorating. Plans were implemented, materials procured, and California State Park staff were assembled to scrape, clean, prep, patch damaged adobe, prime and paint.
