The west yard is now bustling with construction activity! Despite ongoing construction, Sutter’s Fort SHP is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and admission is currently free for self-guided tours. Many exterior building areas are temporarily closed, but the Central Building is open. Please contact California State Parks at (916) 445-4422 for more details.
Due to construction, the Friends of Sutter’s Fort Museum Store inside the fort is closed. Instead, visit our POP-UP shop at the historic Huntington, Hopkins & Co Hardware Store in Old Sacramento State Historic Park. Open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. You can also shop online with us for our curated selection of books and gifts.
