As Thanksgiving approaches, we want to remind you that Sutter’s Fort State Historic Park is a great place to visit with out of town guests over the holiday weekend. While Sutter’s Fort SHP will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, the historic structures will be open throughout the rest of the weekend with free admission for self-guided tours. (California State Parks is currently waiving admission fees due to the roof replacement project. Learn More).
Sunday, November 26th is Museum Store Sunday, a great day to visit Sutter’s Fort and shop with us. This year we will also be celebrating the grand reopening of our Museum Store at Sutter’s Fort after a full 5 months closure due to the roof project. We’ll be offering coffee and donuts to our patrons from 10 AM to Noon (while supplies last). Shoppers can also take advantage of our Museum Store Sunday sale with discounts of up to 20%.
We also encourage you to visit the State Indian Museum on November 24th and 25th for their annual Native Arts and Crafts Market. Native vendors from all around the state will be there, and admission is free.
