Acorn Day

Saturday, October 15th
10AM to 2PM

Free Event

Our friends at the California State Indian Museum will once again be hosting Acorn Day as a free, family-focused event from 10am to 2pm on October 15.

Fall is the best time for harvesting acorns so join us to learn all about the process of turning acorns into food with California Native cultural practitioner, Diana Almendariz, and her family. Participants will be able to grind the acorns with a mortar and pestle and see how the flour is cooked using hot stones. There will be hands-on activities and crafts for kids of all ages.
