On May 2nd, we encourage you to participate in Sacramento’s Big Day of Giving. This is a 24-hour online giving challenge that celebrates and supports local nonprofits like ours.

Friends of Sutter’s Fort is a 501 c3 charitable foundation. As a state park cooperating association, we collaborate with California State Parks at Sutter’s Fort State Historic Park to preserve and protect historic structures, and artifacts, and to engage visitors of all ages. We need your help to provide critical funding and support for the educational programs, historic preservation efforts and community events at Sutter’s Fort SHP.

With your Big Day of Giving gift we will be able to:

• Provide California State Parks with program supplies that allow for more hands-on activities at Sutter’s Fort SHP
• Finalize plans for new community events for the summer and fall
• Connect new classrooms to Sutter’s Fort SHP with increased outreach efforts to local schools
• Launch new art, music and cultural programs and events
• Support efforts that enhance the visitor experience
