State Parks Week: California State Indian Museum Tours

Saturday, June 15th

Join us for California State Parks Week, an annual celebration of the incredible diversity and beauty of California’s State Park System and the dedicated community that cherishes and protects these iconic places. Now in its third year, California State Parks Week takes place from June 12-16, 2024, with the inspiring theme: “This is where you live.”

On Saturday, June 15, our friends at the California State Indian Museum will be offering guided tours. Learn about California Native culture both past and present. The State Indian Museum is also delighted to announce the opening of a new temporary exhibition: “Native Graduates: From Assimilation to Cultural Pride,” which was guest curated by Park Interpretive Specialist Michael A. Ramirez (Konkow Maidu).

Tours will be 30 minutes long and available at 11 AM and 2 PM.

Share your experiences and photos on social media with the hashtag #CAStateParksWeek. Let’s show everyone why California State Parks are the heart of where we live!
