Native American Flute Workshop at State Indian Museum
Saturday, April 5th
1:00 p.m.

We are excited to announce the return of our Native American Style Flute Workshop series to the State Indian Museum.
Join Instructor Al Striplen (Amah Mutsun Ohlone/Aztec) for a 1-hour workshop that includes, a demonstration, a brief history of the Native American style flute (and its spread among Native American Tribes and popular culture), and an overview of the structure, design, and how to learn to play.
This workshop is the perfect introduction if you are learning (or interested in learning) to play the flute at your own pace. A list of resources (tutorials, performances, etc.) will be provided at the end of each workshop.
Space is limited to 15 people per workshop. Recommended for ages 15 and older.
As an added bonus, workshop participants may purchase their own handcrafted flute from the nonprofit museum store at a discounted price.
