Join us for California State Parks Week, an annual celebration of the incredible diversity and beauty of California’s State Park System and the dedicated community that cherishes and protects these iconic places. Now in its third year, California State Parks Week takes place from June 12-16, 2024, with the inspiring theme: “This is where you live.”

Join staff and volunteers at Sutter’s Fort on Wednesday June 12 for 30 minute guided history tours. Learn more about who lived in the area and how the establishment of Sutter’s Fort changed the course of California history. Tours will be offered at 11am, 1pm, and 2pm, and are included with regular museum admission.

On Saturday, June 15, Sutter’s Fort invites visitors to experience “Environmental Living Day” This family-friendly event, inspired by the popular school program, is open to all ages. Step back in time and immerse yourself in hands-on activities and historical presentations throughout the day.

Plus, next door the State Indian Museum will also be offering tours.
