Sutter’s Fort Over Time: Grand Electrical Carnival Invitation
On September 9, 1895, Sacramento held a parade to celebrate the arrival of hydroelectric power to the city. The parade drew a crowd of 60,000 participants who gazed upon some 25,000 lights, many of which were attached to parade floats. Historic Wood Shake Roof Replacement Continues

Tickets are on sale now for our Sunset & Strings Jamboree taking place on Thursday, October 26. Gather with us to enjoy a fun, all-ages concert while the sun sets against Sutter’s Fort. Engage, Learn and Explore: Sign up for School Programs
Schools can sign up now for California State Parks’ Environmental Living Program (ELP) & Environmental Studies Program (ESP) at Sutter’s Fort SHP. These interactive programs runs from January to June 2024. In each program students spend the day participating in hands-on activities like candle dipping, rope making, weaving, and outdoor bread baking. Youth Art Contest: Unleash Your Talents and Celebrate Parks

Sutter’s Fort Roof Replacement Project in Full Swing
